PBS' Genealogy Roadshow Invites Genealogical Societies, Associations & Vendors

Season 2 of PBS’ Genealogy Roadshow is underway and will premiere nationally in the winter of 2015. The second season will feature participants from three American regions — St. Louis, New Orleans, and Philadelphia.

Genealogy Roadshow is part detective story, and part emotional journey. Once participants are chosen, genealogy, history and DNA experts will use family heirlooms, letters, pictures, historical documents and other clues to hunt down more information. These answers are then revealed on camera before a local audience in a historic building relevant to the regions.

The producers are looking for local & national genealogical associations, societies, genealogy vendors and local professional genealogists to be part of the show by exhibiting products and services at their events. This is a wonderful opportunity for societies to get their message out to the public. Free tables and space are being offered along with immeasurable exposure.

The dates are as follows:
  • St. Louis, MO. - Saturday and Sunday August 23rd & 24th
  • New Orleans, LA - Saturday and Sunday September 6th & 7th
  • Philadelphia, PA  - Saturday and Sunday September 13th & 14th

A commitment is required for both days from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The people staffing the tables may work in shifts. Set up is at 8:00 AM and close at 6:30 PM or until taping is finished. Space is limited so reserve your spot now.
